Non-Duality – Yes & No

Standard

I don’t know all I understand and/or believe about this but I enjoyed this guy’s take on it.  He does not take it so seriously.  The guru type kinda get on my nerves.  His thing seems to be consciousness is just playing and experiencing through the illusion of the Self.  But it is not either-or it is both and.  Just to let you know it’s 40 minutes. If it all doesn’t matter guess I will go play in the garden and see how the wine is coming along.  Be Groovy!

    • I know 🙂 that’s my issue. Something matters and there is some will somewhere. I think I agree in principle with most of it. Sounds like mysticism and science finally caught up with each other. But I figure like with most things there are more layers under the layers

  1. Thanks for sharing this video. It was amusing and entertaining and I appreciated that it was delivered by in a laid back manner. I was surprised to hear your thoughts on this issue in an earlier comment over at mine. I’m interested in these discussions and as usual, I’m so happy to read your views on these matters in your poetry. I hope you’re having a great Saturday. x

    • You too my buddy! He says there is no free will. Ok maybe? But there is will. Something choses one and not the other. If that thing is called “natrual” selection something is selecting something. And god could easily be substituted for natural selection. Both are statements of faith and hope. Neuroscience will make new discoveries. I wonder how the discriptions will change then. This stuff is not the final word on reality. I hold all such things lightly. But he laughed a lot. That was huge to me

      • I was amused by some of what he’s saying because he’s jumbled several topics together that are not related. The “we are all made from the same fabric” is quantum and particle physics for amateurs. That’s why I studied the hard stuff because it’s easy to be convinced by a partial truth when one is not fully informed. He is exercising free will in being in that room and putting that presentation together, so to me he was just spreading some corporate propaganda about why workers should just stop complaining and get on with it. He makes a point in that we are blended in with the environnment and that training can better or reflexes. It matters, however, what we choose to practice. For example, love or hate. x

        • Yes mam I think you are wise. I wanted to ask him how he chooses what to do each day. His philosophy seems not to have solid ground in places. But he’s having fun and making money messing with peoples head

  2. Plato’s Groove, I agree with what you said – not sure I understand/agree with all of this clip, but the presentation was eye-opening. Especially when the celebrities’ faces morph into monsters! Interesting stuff.
