Drifting – Twilight – Spirit – Calensariel (Audio)

Standard

drifting-into-the-sunrise

Drifting, the current carries me

No oar, no rudder

Surrendered to the flow

Destination lies over the horizon

Rest now, adventure awaits

Twilight, time between times

Sacred space

Stillness, surrender to the muted light

Listen, Wisdom whispers

Sophia is your lover

Spirit, link between

Flesh and intellect

Feeling, sensing, knowing

Interpreting groanings too deep for words

Time for speech is approaching

  1. I am drifting in the current of your poem. “Interpreting groanings too deep for words.”- wonderful – a connection felt in the heart, if only we could express it but no need, it is a mystery best felt than said.
Thank you so much for looking at some of my posts, I really look forward to reading more of yours.

    • Thank you for taking the time to play here. As of this is very new to me. It has been quite a pleasant surprise at how much I enjoy it. Never thought of myself as a “writer” per se (perhaps still don’t) but putting my “insides” out there has become important to me. It is important but my attitude is that I should do it like I did when I was small drawing with crayons in my mother’s kitchen. The prize was making it to the refrigerator. I will be 52 in a few days and the “Grown up” has grown old. It is the boy in me who grins when someone like yourself is thoughtful enough to leave a comment. It is him who is trying to make sense of the last 50 and the next 50 years. Be Groovy!

  2. No, I didn’t think you were being condescending. I am just blown away. I did look at the rewrite. Sophia is going to have her hands full with me. She’s much wiser than I am…

I think you could write something very mystical and (do I dare say it) Celtic. I think of Avalon when I read some of your stuff.
