Locks and Keys

Lean into the wind
If it blows from behind it may topple
Like a trout, swim facing into the current’s force
To do otherwise is to float downstream
Seek out that which troubles
It is the signpost pointing the way
If the answer is unclear, then the question is too
That is what she taught me
The answer is known
It is the question that is elusive
For how does one answer a question unasked
There is no purchase, nothing to push against
Seeking answers in the light is random and blind
It is in the dark hidden places where the questions rest
A key is of no use without its mate
Collecting keys unlocks nothing and just become extra weight on the chain
The Way is often avoided, bargained with, and associated with evil
The illusion of light blinds lowering the glittering shades of darkness
Questions are waiting in the space never trod
The Spirit is there waiting to lead along the pathway of Truth
First seek the question, the lock, in the dangerous places
The key is already in your pocket

    Isn’t it amazing? The problem being if it seems too simply, people often distrust that possibility. How right you are that we spend.

    In fact, we our the key, and that which needs to be unlocked, is ourselves.

    So say we all!

  3. I think I’ve spent MOST of my life asking the wrong questions (in my journals especially) because I’ve been afraid to go into the “space never trod.” Maybe I FEAR asking the real questions because I’m sure I’ll find out my life doesn’t fit me. And then what do I do?

    But when I go into the dark places, that’s not what I will find at all, is it… I’ll find I’ve asked the wrong question. It’s not “Why is this happening TO me, but why is this happening FOR me?”

    So here’s my question for you, O wise one, I have all these keys in my pocket, but is the truth that one particular key unlocks ALL the doors? Or is that an illusion, too?

    • I think what I am trying to say is that the pieces are already within our possession and that the resolution of things is fairly easy compared to the mental and physical twister we play with ourselves. We seek answers separate and outside the place where they have any meaning or impact. Many of the keys or answers we we carry dont relate to our own locks or questions. We often can share those with others with good effect but remain guarded ourselves. It may be better to think that the locks are open or will open for us. Perhaps the key is merely us seeking what the real question is.

      • Perhaps the key is merely us seeking what the real question is… How many darkened passageways we trod to find the truth in that statement…. But it’s not something someone can really tell us. Like Dorothy we must discover the reality of it on our own, I think…
